Brian Burnett

Brian was born in South Porcupine, Ontario, in 1952.
He currently lives and works in Toronto.
Brian is a graduate of New York City's New School of Art. He was represented by the Isaacs Gallery until it closed in 1988. One of the founding members of the seminal Toronto collective ChromaZone, Brian Burnett has exhibited regularly since 1979, at the Ward-Nasse Gallery in New York City; the Koffler Arts Centre in Toronto; at the McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinburg; the Diane Farris Gallery in Vancouver; Gallery One in Toronto; and the Art Gallery of Ontario. His work was included in Canada Nouveau (London, England) and in Contemporary Landscape Perspectives, a traveling exhibition that originated at the AGO.
His work can be found in such major public and corporate collections as American Express, Art Gallery of Ontario, Art Gallery of Hamilton, CIL, Crown Life Insurance, the McMichael Canadian Collection, Midland Doherty, North American Trust, Zeidler Roberts Partnership, and the Province of Ontario.
