Maxine Gadd
Maxine Gadd has been publishing poetry since the early 60s in small mags.
Her first book, guns of the west was published by bill bissett's blewointment press in
1967. Produced practical knowledge on her own in coloured Roneo at Intermedia
in 1969, some with slices of wonderbread stamped by the author. bissett put out
hochelaga in 1970, and Bertrand Lachance's Air Press published
a collection called westerns in 1975, followed by lost language, Coach
House Press (1981). Since then Maxine has tried desktop publishing of lac
lake, boatload to atlantis, backup to babylon, and styk.
She has one large idyll unpublished called cove and a nineties sort of book
called subway under byzantium in the works. (Fall 1997)
