nichola feldman-kiss performed her public sleeping performance in a custom vitrine located in the
courtyard of the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art. The public sleeping performance is part of
feldman-kiss' new body of work entitled childish objects. This series muses on artistic actions
and objects of the artist's formative years. By rarifying the everyday gesture of sleeping, she
explores the vulnerable space between pretending and being.
