In the style of shamanistic ritual, performers inhabit the unrestrained
disorder of Sherri Hay’s stage, accompanied by musicians and
informed by you, the audience, gathered to conceive of an altered
world. Like any good shaman, they lead us – the uninitiated
– into unknown realms. There, together, we extract new information
from and about ourselves.
Mansa Sissoko, born and raised in the Mali traditions of musically inspired
communication, together with Dave Clark and the Woodchoppers Association,
conjure new voices to affect the world in which we live.
