The official cultural representatives of several member States of the European Union are back with a
third edition of Euronight 2008. The event will screen experimental contemporary film retrospective and
video installations by young artists from European Union Member States. The screenings will be presented
outdoors in the Consulate General of Italy’s Garden at the corner of Dundas St. and Beverly St.,
Toronto. Visitors will enjoy the works of cutting-edge experimental film directors. The goal will be
to place the viewer in a more active and thoughtful relationship to the film and country of origin. Wide-screen
TV sets and video projectors in the garden will allow the public to appreciate works by recognized European
artists. Public admission will be free. Each participating country may offer samples of their national
beverages and cuisine.
