Distillery District - Le Laboratoire d'art (LE LABO)
MÉTA_LABOS is an immersive installation created live during Scotiabank Nuit Blanche. The 8 participant
artists work together to create a digital environment integrating different artistic practice. Visitors
experience the immersion of their physical selves in both the real and the virtual environment. In the
real space, large scale projections show various points of view of the virtual environment being created.
As the creation of the virtual space evolves over the course of the entire night, the environment is
constantly modified so that the public never experience the same place twice and accompany the work as
it’s being created. MÉTA_LABOS is a collaboration between LE LABO and the Society for Arts
and Technology (SAT).
