401 Richmond - Open Studio
Hot Off the Press: Throughout the night in Canada’s leading printmaking centre Open Studio,
viewers will be invited to witness artists creating collaborative prints in the different areas of the
studio – lithography, intaglio, screenprinting – to produce layered, visually textured final
works.
Participating artists are artist members and renters of Open Studio working in shifts throughout the
night.
Also, all three exhibition galleries will be open all night. Featured in Open Studio Gallery is the
print exhibition Suzie Smith: Second Hand. This exhibition features vintage record album covers that
Smith has screenprinted over with parts of the original artwork revealed while adding her own imagery
and creating new meaning often with humorous results.
