INDEXG / LEE Ka-sing gallery
INDEXG and LEE Ka-sing gallery present two independent exhibitions: recent picture by Henrik Drescher
(INDEXG) and “lan wei lou” by anothermountainman (LKS). Henrik Drescher is noted for his
casual and spontaneous mixed-media work on note books. A carefree spirit, he is sensitive to and inspired
by all things in his well-traveled life. "recent picture" is a series of images based on heredity,
using notebook marginalia as a starting point. "lan wei lou" means unfinished buildings in
Chinese. With China's rising economy in the 80s many people had put their lifelong savings in real estate
deals. Corruption was prevalent and soon the economy overheated. When the bubble burst millions of square
meters of land were left unfinished. The Hong Kong-based artist anothermountainman took on this photo
project, which has been harboring in his mind for many years.
