Kimon Kaketsis - Statement
Eikonographía
Inspired from traditional Byzantine iconography, Eikonographía is a photographic essay
that presents personal reflections on the topic of revelation. Kaketsis offers much of himself,
exploring culture and memory through a dialogue of objects.
The photographed constructions express a conflicted modernity
that has been both sculpted and suppressed by tradition,
and Kaketsis maintains that in order to enter the visual dialogue
one must move beyond religious associations and arrive at a more personal interpretation.
